Introduction:
Oracle Database 10g is Oracle’s revolutionary new grid offering for database administrators, which include breakthrough self-management, storage management, and clustering features. It is designed to relieve system administrators from repetitive, low-value administrative work and provide them with an opportunity to increase their value and expand their technical skills. Oracle database is generally implemented in large-scale organization managing voluminous amount of data and users.

Oracle Workshop Contents:

· Oracle Secure Backup to backup and recover a database

· Oracle's Flashback technology to recover your database

· Detect block corruptions and take appropriate measures to correct them

· Use RMAN to create and manage backup sets and image copies

· Control database resource usage with the Resource Manager

· Recover the database to a previous point in time

· Use the various Database advisors and views to monitor and improve database performance

· Simplify management tasks by using the Scheduler

· Review database log files for diagnostic purposes

· Customize language-dependent behavior for the database and individual sessions

· Implement a secure database

· Transport data across platforms

Audience:

Candidate should have knowledge of Oracle Database 10g: Administration Workshop I Knowledge of Linux is desirable. Learner will be able to perform advanced database administration tasks on the Oracle 10G database.
